QUALITY ASSURANCE
The requirement by clients for high quality products resulted in the introduction of formal quality systems and procedures, in accordance with BS EN ISO 9002.
Workshop processes, site processes, materials, equipment and tools are controlled by quality assurance procedures to ensure high quality products and services are delivered in accordance with client specifications. Welders are qualified in accordance with BS EN287-1 / ASME IX procedures.
With the recent introduction of the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), pipework systems and components are supplied, fabricated, inspected, installed, tested, commissioned and labelled in accordance with the various PED categories and modules.
We are able to offer quality assurance services in accordance with the standard or provide specific inspection and documentation as required by the client on an individual contract basis. Independent third party inspection, verification and certification can also be arranged through our range of approved sub-contractors.
SAFETY
The management at Karden Pipework Limited are committed to ensuring the safe working of employees at all times and safety issues are given the highest priority. All employees have completed the required training and are company insucted, issued with safety handbooks and attend meetings to reinforce safety aspects of our works.
The company safety manager has day to day responsibility for health and safety and reports to the managing director who has overall responsibility. The company also holds regular health and safety meetings at all levels throught and openly encourages feedback from its employees.
Along with the companys Health and Safet Policy, documented safety plans and systems are prepared and continuously monitored by the company and where appropriate these are audited by external consultants.
It is company policy that risk assessments and method statements are carried out for all contracts prior to work commencing and we provide full co-operation to our clients planning supervisor / principal contractor involving any aspects related to H.S.E. and C.D.M. regulations. Suppliers and sub-contractors are expected to maintain similar standards and this is assessed prior to the placement of orders through an analysis of quality and safety plans.
TRAINING
Training needs within the company are regularly assessed through a training and competency matrix and additional training provided where required.
All employees receive safety training and our training programme includes company and client induction training, toolbox talks, regular site safety meetings and task specific safety training.
Training is also provided in first aid, forklift driving, confined space, breathing apparatus, aluminum tower scaffold, mobile elevated work platforms and other areas as necessary to enable employees to complete their normal duties.
Welder training and procedures are carried out in accordance with BS EN287-1 / ASME IX on a regular basis and approvals validated by independent third parties as necessary to meet client and work requirements.
ENVIRONMENT
Along with the companys Environmental Policy, documented environmental plans and systems are prepared and continuously monitored by the company and where appropriate these are audited by external consultants.
The company shall be developing an environmental awareness training plan for 2010 for all of its employees and sub-contractors.
